A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital successfully performed a qualitative operation on a patient suffering from a tumor at the base of the skull.
A specialist in neurosurgery, Dr. Khaled al-Seraj, stated: "A six-decade-old patient visited the hospital suffering from a tumor at the base of the skull extending to the first and second cervical vertebrae, which caused her to have a weakness in the movement of her four limbs,"said Khaled al-Sarraj.
"After carrying out the necessary tests, it was decided to perform surgical intervention for her and remove the tumor from the skull and cervical vertebrae completely,"he added.
The operation was performed according to al-Sarraj with high accuracy, after which the patient regained the movement of her limbs completely, stressing that the advanced technologies in the operating theaters and the experience of the medical team at the hospital had a big role in the success of the operation.
