With pure hearts expressing the longing to serve our Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) the work on the new shrine's grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) is going at a rising pace, the executives of the factory of the grids manufacture of holy shrines and sanctuaries belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine are investing all their energies and technical and physical potential for the completion of this project, with a strength and resolution inspired from the sanctity and spirituality of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him). As after the completion of the manufacturing of the four silver vases that have been installed on the wooden structure of the holy grid, it pillars from the bottom were decorated with carvings and motifs by the most talented and skilled professional goldsmith who, excelled in the development of their artistic ideas and realise them on the metal, making out of it a great and beautiful piece of art.

Al-Kafeel Network went to the factory of the grids manufacture of holy shrines and sanctuaries belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, to meet with its director the goldsmith Raad Hussein Al-Khafaji, to get informed about the latest achievement of this huge and unique project, not only in Iraq, but in all countries specialized in the shrines' grids industry. He explained: "The new grid of the shrine of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was manufactured in the workshops of the crafts' factory belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine with high quality, durability and accuracy. In fact, it is the first grid that is entirely manufactured in Iraq with Iraqi handicrafts-men.
It is also characterized by the originality of its engravings, motifs and decorations found in all its parts, from which the vase pieces in the base on the underside, as in the old grid it was made of alabaster, and after conducting an extensive study, we were able to manufacture it out of silver, using the same proportions of mixing it with gold."

He then added: "Like with the rest of the holy shrine's parts, these four manufactured pieces (vases) are based on the lower side of the side columns' bases, bordered at its right and left sides with the two base's roses to form a symmetrical artistic pattern from design and installation sides. It is also characterized by the thickness and accurate craftsmanship in the manufacturing, featured by its strength, resistance and durability, thanks to its raw material manufactured of 999 calibre of pure silver, mixed with a 2% of 24 carat gold in order to give it a specific lustre and to prolong its lifetime. These vases of the side columns of the shrine's grid weighs each 4 kg, with 30m of length and a thickness of 6 to 8 mm. "

It is to mention that we kept for the new grid the same overall structure and engravings of the current one, with few additions, upgrades and modifications, because of its uniqueness design comparing to the grids of the whole world's holy shrines. Noting that the current grid was made in 1964 with funding from the supreme religious authority - at the time - The grand Ayatollah Sayed Mohsen Al-Hakeem. And, that the new grid of the shrine of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was manufactured in the workshops of the crafts' factory belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine with high quality, durability and accuracy. In fact it is the first grid which is entirely manufactured in Iraq with Iraqi handicrafts-men. It is also characterized by the originality of its engravings and decorations in addition to the fact that it keeps the same overall structure and engravings of the old one, with few additions, upgrades and modifications, because of its uniqueness design comparing to the grids of the holy shrines in Iraq and in the Islamic world.
