The Al-Alqami Complex of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine counted its services provided to the Arba'een visitors of 1445 AH.
The official of the Complex; Sayed Ali al-Khafaji, said that"the complex provided various services to visitors arriving to the complex throughout the period of the Ziyarat Arba'een, represented by the provision of more than (365,000) meals, (1,368,000) cups of water and cold drinks, (144,000) cups of hot drinks, in addition to fast food, which amounted to (64,000) meals".
"The female staff in the complex provided various services to more than (60,000) visitors who came to the complex for rest and accommodation, including service, guidance, religious and ideological services, teaching the correct recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha and Quranic Khatmahs dedicated to the martyrs, in addition to children's activities and drawing, in addition to providing more than (30,000) meals, and more than (180,000) cups of water,"he added.
As for the health services, he explained that "the detachment of the Diwaniyah Health Department in cooperation with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine provided medical services to (72,365) visitors, and the referral of (454) cases to hospitals, and those lying in the medical detachment for treatment reached (5870) cases, pointing out that the amount of medicines provided of all kinds amounted to (4.5) tons, with the participation of (52) employees and volunteers".
About the identification centers, Al-Khafaji said that"the Department of stores at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has worked to provide identification cards for children and the disabled to facilitate the task of finding them in case of their loss, providing more than (60,000) identification cards".
With regard to the activities of the scientific complex of the Holy Quran, he stated that "the complex provided its services to more than (25,000) visitors, including teaching the correct reading of Surah Al-Fatiha and some doctrinal issues, distributing (15,000) thousand awareness and religious brochures, as well as distributed (10,000) rosaries, and some blessed gifts from the sanctuary of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)".
