The exhibition was opened in the presence of the prime minister, official and academic figures, writers and the exhibition visitors, with the participation of more than 500 local, Arab and foreign publishing houses.
The holy shrine was represented by the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, the Department of Islamic and Humanitarian Knowledge Affairs, and a special pavilion for children, which was distinguished by the presentation of stories and magazines issued by the Media Department.
The official of exhibitions at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; Sayed Mohammad al-A'raji, said that "participation in the exhibition is part of a series of continuous participation in international and local exhibitions inside and outside Iraq, including this exhibition, explaining that the Departments of the Holy Shrine are working to make their participation distinct, and this is what they worked on in this session to enrich the cultural and knowledge arena in the country with various publications".
He added that"the Holy Shrine pavilion was distinguished by the organization and the abundance of the publications on its shelves, as the number of displayed publications reached more than 760 various knowledge issues".
He pointed out that"the editions of the Holy Shrine displayed in the pavilion in the cultural, intellectual and heritage fields were distinguished by the novelty and diversity of the offer".
