A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital has successfully operated on a young man suffering from severe pressure on the spinal cord.
Dr. Hossam al-Anbari, a specialist in neurosurgery at the hospital, said that "an Iraqi medical team was able to end the suffering of a young man in his third decade with severe pressure on the spinal cord".
"The operation was crowned with success, through which multiple dislocations were removed, and the lumbar vertebrae were stabilized to free the spinal cord from compression,"he added.
"After the necessary tests, we carried out the operation without any complications and with the stabilization of the patient's health situation," al-Anbari said, noting that "vertebral fixation operations are carried out periodically in the hospital, thanks to the experience of Iraqi medical staff and the development of devices and technologies."
