A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital has successfully performed a qualitative operation on a patient in the sixth decade of life suffering from a carotid artery stenosis that caused her to have several strokes.
Dr. Ahmad Jawad al-Khafaji, a specialist in Thoracic and Vascular Surgery at the hospital, said," We performed a qualitative operation to remove the stenosis from the carotid artery, which caused the patient to have several strokes, after which she lost consciousness and the ability to move, "noting that"the operation was successful without any health complications for the patient."
He added that" the operation was very complicated, but the presence of highly skilled medical staff and capabilities, along with the presence of the intensive care unit helped us a lot in conducting difficult operations at the hospital, "pointing out that"the patient's health condition is stable and she will leave the hospital after completing the treatment phase."
