The Iraqi Ministry of Environment confirmed that everything related to preserving the environment from climate changes and protecting it is present in the agriccultural projects of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
The director general of the Department of Environmental Protection and improvement of the Middle Euphrates region at the Ministry of Environment, Dr. Jaseb Latif, during his visit to the holy shrine and briefed on its projects, said, "We saw during our visit to a number of agricultural projects affiliated to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the existence of scientific procedures followed to reduce climatic and environmental problems, including following the drip irrigation method that conserves groundwater and prevents its waste, as well as the use of solar energy to operate pumps in its projects.
He added that"the Holy Shrine agricultural projects have succeeded in addressing the problem of desertification and reducing it, and benefiting society, in addition to its work in preserving the environment by addressing climate change, which is one of the major problems faced by most countries of the world".
"These experiments have a great positive impact if used in the rest of the governorates, because they address environmental pollution and the increase the percentage of carbon dioxide resulting from the large number of factories,"he added.
