A Turkish archaeologist praises the Al-Kafeel Museum for the Treasures and Manuscripts and the organized presentation methods of its collections

The archaeologist at the Turkish University of Kush, Professor Emery Kurukayerli, praised the Al-Kafeel Museum of Treasures and Manuscripts of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and the organized presentation methods of his collections, during his visit to the museum accompanied by the representative of the dean of the Faculty of Archaeology at the University of Kufa, Dr. Alaa al-Lami, within the framework of cooperation with the European Union to develop Iraqi universities, within the BANUU cultural program.

The head of the Department, Mr. Sadiq Lazim al-Zaidi, during his reception of the delegation, said that"the visit aims to develop and improve the concepts of archaeological technology and cultural heritage, and improve the tourist reality of archaeological sites in Iraq and its civilization".

He added that"the tour started at the Al-Kafeel Museum's Treasures Store to view the museum pieces carefully preserved in it, and the tour ended at the Department's Treasures Exhibition Hall station accompanied by the Hall Division's guide".

"The exhibits were impressive and from different regions of the Islamic world, presented in an organized manner," said Kurukayerli, adding that he was "pleased with this visit, viewing the treasures and the good information acquired by the tour guide".

The BANUU program includes six projects to develop the reality of higher education in Iraq, through the exchange of skills and experiences through free courses and important visits to important archaeological institutions and museums such as the Al-Kafeel Museum.
