The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has started drilling a new well in the state of Tanzania as part of the Saqi Atashi Karbala Wells project on the African continent.
The director of the Center for African Studies of the Department, Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that "the center's delegation, represented by its head; Sayed Muslim al-Jaberi, has begun the 24th drilling well within the project of Saqi Atasha Karbala implemented in about (13) African countries, with the aim of providing water in poor and remote villages and cities, within the humanitarian programs implemented by the center in the continent".
He added that"the wells located in the village sell water with money, and the center has worked on drilling the new well to provide water to the people of the villages with the blessing of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which is the first free charity well aimed at the residents of the village."
"The center continues to implement humanitarian, intellectual, ideological and religious programs through its coordinators located in many African countries,"al-Shammari stressed.
