The delegation of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, represented by the Center for African studies, reviewed the National Museum in the state of Tanzania.
The director of the Center; Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that " the official delegation of the center in Tanzania visited the National Museum in the former capital Dar es Salaam, and conducted a tour of the museum's departments to see the ancient heritage and collectibles in the colonial period, and the personalities who fought for the liberation of their country."
"The visit also included viewing the collections related to important figures in the history of the state of Tanzania and its tribes, as well as viewing the photo and documentation sections of the country's history and ancient heritage,"he added.
For his part, the head of the delegation, Mr. Muslim al-Jabri, explained that "the purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the history of the country and its civilization, to get acquainted with its historical, geographical, national and political identity, in addition to understanding the identity of the Tanzanian people in terms of heritage, and to open prospects for cooperation with civil and official institutions to establish the features of the authentic Islamic religion".
