The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held a Quranic session for a group of children in the village of Mbanda in Tanzania.
The director of the Center for African Studies of the Department, Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that "the center's delegation in the African continent organized a Quranic session in the village of Mbanda, with the participation of a group of children in the recitation of the Holy Quran".
He added that"the center's delegation continues to hold Quranic events and activities on the African continent, with the aim of encouraging people to learn and preserve the Holy Quran and follow the approach of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)".
For his part, the official of the delegation in the state of Tanzania, Mr. Muslim al-Jabri, said that "the Quranic session is part of the center's project, which aims to Al-Kafeel Quranic, ideological and humanitarian programs in the African continent".
He added that"the session included the participation of three readers and three contestants, amid a wide presence of children lovers of the Holy Quran, as well as figures representing religious institutions and official figures in the city, and the session concluded with a banquet of blessings of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)".
