The director of the Karbala Environment Department, Engineer Hamid Obaid Abdullah, confirmed that the projects of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine are built on typical environmental foundations, aimed at protecting humans and the environment.
This came during his visit accompanied by the director general of the center's environment department, which includes three governorates (Baghdad, Anbar and Diyala), to the projects of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and view them.
Abdullah said,"We conducted a tour of vital projects in the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, such as Al-Joud company for modern industry and agriculture, Al-Ameed University, Al-Saqi agricultural project, as well as the Southern Green Belt project, and we noticed that this project has witnessed a great development in terms of the density of trees, green oases and parks, which is in favor of the holy city of Karbala".
He added that "these projects have received fundamental approvals and are subject to environmental impact, quality and ISO controls, as well as they are built on Model foundations aimed at protecting humans and the environment, and also contribute to the development of energies and the living and economic level in the city".
"We have a very positive impression of the quality we have seen that has overshadowed the nature of these projects, which will support and stimulate the economic system in the country by activating several vital areas,"he added.
