The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine mourns two martyrs of the fighting squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) who were killed in Jord As-Sakhr (the cliff of victory)..

With deep grief and sorrow, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced on Wednesday the 18th of Muharram corresponding to the 12th of November 2014, the martyrdom of two fighters of its fighting squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) who have obtained the honour of martyrdom in Jorf As-Sakhr (alias An-Nasr/ victory) while carrying their sacred duty to defend the land of Iraq, its people and its sanctities against the criminal terrorist attack on our beloved country. Their funerals were attended by a majestic procession that has carried the Zyarat rituals and the funeral prayers in the Imam Al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine, then carried their pure bodies to the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) for the performance of the Zyarat on their behalf.

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has read many times their obituary within the holy shrine, and this was the obituary text:

"In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. {And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,} (3:169), the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine mourns two of the martyrs of the Fatwa of sufficient duty for the defence of Iraq and its sanctities, and who were killed while performing the sacred duty in Jorf An-Nasr, asking the Lord to catch them up with the martyrs of Ashura who, were martyred with the master of martyrs Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and to give patience to their families and friends and to grant us with the victory on our enemy. Indeed, He is the Hearer of supplication."

It is noteworthy that the fighting squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has been involved in the battle to liberate the cliff of victory (Jorf As-Sakhr), and has been assigned to combat duties during which it proved its field merit and ability, which it has gained through military exercises as well as its determination and faith derived from the commander of the army of Imam Al-Hussayn, Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them both), and has offered during this battle a group of martyrs.
