The head of the Higher Education Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Dr. Hassan Dakhel Karim, confirmed that the Al-Ameed Forum aims to keep pace with global educational transformations and the development of education strategies.
"These forums are necessary in view of the acceleration and transformations at the level of global cultures and technological progress, and they are extremely important for schools to keep up with that progress, and the extent to which they play their role in benefiting from those transformations,"Karim said.
He added,"The Forum for the improvement of teaching and education in Iraqi schools represents an opportunity to periodically and critically review our work in the Department of Education, and show what awaits us from the work in the light of international standards and our leading educational experience".
He explained that"the forum included a number of important lectures, starting with the lecture of Professor Dr. Taqi al-Abdwani, who reviewed a number of international experiences and ways to move from traditional education to modern education, taking advantage of modern experiences".
"The Department of Education presented in three lectures its experience in enriching the educational curriculum, communicating with the school community and parents, and updating the quality of teaching in the Al-Ameed group for the current year,"he said.
The forum's activities kicked off on Saturday and witnessed the presence of Dr. Abbas al-Deda al-Mousawi, member of the board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Dr. Hassan Dakhel al-Hasnawi, head of the Education Department, and a number of Department officials and teaching staff.
The forum included the presentation of international experiences for the development of modern education strategies, the adoption of Digital Culture and the development of educational curricula, in its fourth edition.
