On Wednesday afternoon the 25th of Muharram corresponding to the 19th of November 2014, in the hall of Isfahan University the activities of the first scientific research conference about Zyarat Al-Arba'een of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), held under the auspices of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the city of Isfahan under the slogan: "The Zyarat of Arba'een: School of generations on the road of human perfection," and within the events of the first annual cultural week of Heaven's road.
The closing session started with research of the Iranian scholar Dr. Freeshan Mehdi Hassan from the University of Isfahan, that was centred on the Zyarat Al-Arba'een of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), its importance and its psychological and spiritual effects on the hearts and minds of the faithful, and that are resulting from the narrations of the Imams of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) who have encouraged and put endless rewards for those performing it. And since, this Zyarat has become one of the most important resources of the Hussayni authentic culture, which has stood up against the extension of the Umayyad culture, as the culture of Arba'een indicate that it is a movement that is renewed throughout the times, participating in the immortalization of the timeless march of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), especially that Imams (peace be upon them) have stressed the great reward and status bestowed to those who perform this Zyarat. The host has cited verses and narrations that show and prove this meaning.
Followed by the research of Sayed. Mahdi Al-Hakeem from the Najaf province, a cleric and scholar from the Hawza, his research was focused on Imam Zayn Al-Abideen (peace be upon him) and his suffering during and after the tragedy of martyrdom of his father and his family (peace be upon them all), and how was his reaction to this greatest crime, stating that in spite of all that, the Imam (peace be upon him) used other methods that could express his sorrow, such as the invocation, as it is the weapon of the believer, leaving for us a great heritage of invocations, supplications and prayers in the Sahifah Sajjadiyah that show a bit of the greatness of his spirit. The second method was "crying", as it has many spiritual dimensions that have a significant impact with great educational, moral and psychological dimensions. The third method stated by the researcher is "the giving" either material or moral, mainly embodied in the Treatise of Rights of Imam As-Sajjad (peace be upon him).
Then, a word of thanks and gratitude by the University of Isfahan was presented to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for setting up this conference, wishing at the same time the repetition and continuation of this event at a broader level in the coming years.
