The conference began with a reading of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader Dr. Sarmad al-Quraishi, followed by an introductory video presentation about the center, the specifications of the used device and the technology.
The opening of the conference witnessed a speech by the director of Al-Kafeel Hospital, Dr. Jassim Ibrahimi, and a speech by Dr. Taqi Khader to the Health Department of the province of Karbala, and another welcome speech by the director of the Lu'lu'a Center, Dr. Ahmed Kanaan Tamimi. The conference included an explanation of the role of diagnostic radiology in oncology by Dr. Dia al-Defaei.
Ibrahimi said that the conference brings together doctors from inside and outside Iraq to discuss the latest applications regarding the bitscan device and the extent of its uses, pointing out that bitscan is working to detect cancer and its spread and follow-up this disease after giving treatment, and this is the common practice among the general public, but in fact there are other very important applications for it, which are of interest to doctors.
He added that " the increasing culture and knowledge of these applications increases the usefulness of the device, as it can play an important role not only in the diagnosis of cancer, but also in the follow-up of heart disease, arterial occlusion, brain atrophy and its ineffectiveness.
