Holding a women cultural conference on the active role of women in society

The committee overseeing the thirteenth edition of the annual International martyrdom festival held a women cultural conference on the active role of women in society.

The festival is held by the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine, in cooperation with the preaching project of the Hawza in Najaf, the holy shrines of Imam Ali, Imam Kadhem and imam al-Jawad, Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-Askari, and al-Abbas (peace be upon them), and Sharaf al-Din Preparatory School in the Aziziya area.

The festival is held under the slogan (Lady Fatima az-Zahra -peace be upon her – the best of the people of the Earth), for the period (the 24th Jumada Ula to 8th Jumada Thaniya 1445 AH), to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the immaculate lady Fatima az-Zahra(peace be upon her).

The supervisor of the festival, Sheikh Hazem al-Aboudi, said that"the activities of the Thirteenth Annual International Martyrdom Festival included the establishment of a women cultural conference attended by various female segments from religious schools, cultural institutions, academic schools and teaching staff in Wasit governorate".

He added that" the conference included holding a condolence Council in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra(peace be upon her), presented by the preacher Sheikh Jalal al-Saadi, during which he spoke about the life of the Lady of the women of the worlds(peace be upon her) and her role in upholding the truth, "pointing to"the need to emulate her as an example and a good role model for all women."

He added that"the conference witnessed a cultural lecture given by the deputy of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Hussein Aal-Yassin, during which he touched upon the effective role played by women, because they are the basic material and the real factory of society".
