The procession set off from inside the Holy Courtyard of the shrine of the Master of martyrs; Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), after his servants lined up in the form of groups, and headed towards the shrine of Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), passing through the square between the Two Holy Shrines chanting words that embodied feelings of sadness and pain, and showed the extent of the impact of this event on the souls of the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt(peace be upon them).
The procession concluded its march in the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine with the establishment of a mourning Council, with the participation of staffs of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) and a gathering of visitors, in which poems and lamentations simulating this sad memory were delivered to the hearts of Muslims and believers.
The servants of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) in Holy Karbala comes out with special condolence processions, on the occasions of the deaths of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) throughout the year.
