Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine launches the activities of the Women Festival on the birth anniversary of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) in Pakistan

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in cooperation with Al-Kawthar University in Islamabad, Pakistan, has launched the first edition of the women festival.

The festival is held by the heritage of the prophets Institute for electronic Hawza Studies/Urdu branch of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the holy shrine, and bears the slogan (Lady Fatima our role model), on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her) in the capital Islamabad, and lasts for three days.

The opening ceremony was attended by the director of the Office of the Senior Official of the holy shrine, Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, the head of the Religious Affairs Department, Sheikh Salah al-Karbalai, the assistant to the head of the public relations department, Mr. Mohammed Gelokhan, a number of officials of the holy shrine, in addition to many Hawza and academic figures.

The director of the Office of His Eminence Dr. Afdhal al-Shami said in his speech during the opening ceremony that "one of the most important goals that the holy shrines aim to reach, especially the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, is to preserve the identity of a faithful, chaste woman adhering to her hijab and religion, without opposing her work, service and space in various activities to serve her community".

For his part, the festival coordinator Sheikh Nasser Abbas said that "the festival will include several activities, including holding a research session and reciting poems from popular poetry, in addition to a special session on women Research, holding a Takleef age ceremony for girls who have reached this age, with the participation of more than (500) girls, as well as raising the banner of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on the campus of Al-Kawthar University, in addition to holding the women cultural exhibition, The Childhood exhibition and other cultural activities".

He added that"the festival will be interspersed with the holding of a large conference of leading Muslim scholars to talk about the virtue of Lady Fatima az-Zahra(peace be upon her) on her birth anniversary, and then the delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine will head to many provinces of Pakistan to hold popular festivals on the anniversary of the blessed birth."

The festival aims to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) in the Pakistani capital, highlight glimpses of her blessed life, and highlight the interest of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in women's affairs.
