The delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine discusses ways to facilitate the arrival of visitors to Karbala with the Iraqi Embassy in Pakistan

The delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine discussed with the Iraqi Embassy in the Pakistani capital Islamabad ways to facilitate the arrival of Pakistani visitors to Iraq.

Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, director of the Office of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, said that "the meeting witnessed the presentation of some obstacles facing visitors to the holy shrines, especially in the Ziyarat Ashura and finding solutions to them, as well as discussing the project of opening the sea line between the Pakistani city of Karachi and Basra governorate; to facilitate the process of visitors 'arrival, especially since most of them are poor people who wish to visit the holy shrines, but they do not have sufficient access, and perhaps some of them arrive in a lifetime only once".

"The meeting was attended by personalities, including the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and scientific figures, and we invested this meeting to serve the visitors and discuss some of the problems they face and seek to address them,"he added.

For his part, the Iraqi ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Hamid Abbas, said that "the meeting with the delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine was fruitful, and we discussed the services we provide to all visitors, especially that the embassy grants visas to Pakistanis of various sects who wish to visit Iraq".

"The conversation was about the methods of services to be provided to visitors, their development and diversity, as well as facilitating the transportation process and discussing the water transport project between Karachi and Basra,"he added.
