The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs celebrates the birth anniversary of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) in the state of Benin

The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine celebrated the birth anniversary of Our Lady of the women of the worlds, Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), in the city of Barako, Benin.

Sheikh Saad al-Shammari, director of the Department's Center for African Studies, said that "through its activities and programs, the center seeks to unite the ranks of Muslims in African countries, renounce extremism and racism, and spread the spirit of peace and love among African citizens".

He added that "the director of the center and its coordinator in the African state of Benin, Sheikh Hassan Amido, organized a gathering attended by a number of figures in the city of Barako, who spoke about the importance of unity of Muslims and their word, leaving disputes and differences and adhering to peace and love.

"The celebration included a lecture on the blessed biography of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her), and the importance of following her personality in the presence of a gathering of followers and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them),"he added.
