A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital succeeded in treating a forty-year-old patient suffering from fibrosis in the right retina, after performing an operation using the latest technologies.
A specialist in ophthalmology and surgery at the hospital, Dr. Haydar Abbas, said that " we reviewed a fortieth patient suffering from fibrosis in the retina of the right eye, who had performed previous operations outside Iraq, but they did not succeed, explaining, "We conducted a complex operation to cut the vitreous fluid, remove the fibres in the retina, and withdraw White Water with a lens implant at the same time, after which he gradually regained his vision."
"At Al-Kafeel hospital, we use special and advanced devices and technologies in the eye operations that we perform, as they dissuade the patient from traveling abroad for the purpose of treatment,"he added.
