Heritage delegation: the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine possesses scientific and technical development in the field of manuscript restoration

A delegation of heritage specialists confirmed that the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine possesses scientific and technical development in the field of manuscript restoration.

This came during his visit to the al-Fadl Center for the preservation of the manuscript heritage, affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

The director of the Center for manuscripts and heritage revival at the Sunni Endowment, Dr. Dia Abdul Latif al-Mar'i, said that "the Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine is represented by the al-Fadl Center for the maintenance and preservation of heritage, possesses scientific and technical development in the field of manuscript restoration, as well as the materials, devices and machines used by the center, in addition to the efficient elements that work in it," pointing out that "work at the center is like a beehive, each employee is responsible and has sufficient information and familiar with what he works with, and this is the case of the model centers in the world".

He added, "We hope that the administration of the al-Fadl center will open the horizons of scientific cooperation with various centers throughout Iraq, because the manuscripts are considered a national heritage and represent the historical depth of the country, and reflect its national identity in its various sciences and details, whether in the religious, pure or historical sciences and others, and it is also a national and legitimate responsibility, and it is imperative to preserve them and make joint efforts to come up with a national heritage".

"The al-Fadl Center for the preservation of heritage at the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine represents a scientific edifice for the restoration and maintenance of manuscripts at the Holy Shrine,"al-Mar'i added.

He concluded, "We would like to thank the management of al-Fadl Center for its exceptional effort in preserving the country's heritage, which is comparable to the work of international centers in the field of restoration, and we hope that all centers in Iraq will be at such a high level of organization, accuracy and attention".
