The Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine has concluded its central mourning program to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon him) in Sinjar district, west of Nineveh.
The council, which witnessed a large attendance by the people of the district of various nationalities, was supervised by the Department of religious affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, represented by the division of religious guidance and moral support.
A number of the Department's preachers participated in the program, who touched upon important stages of the life of Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon him), including his founding a school full of Humanities, his active role in leading the nation of his grandfather, the Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), and his concern for the interests of its subjects.
The program included showing the confrontation of Imam Ali al-Hadi(peace be upon him) with the political positions of the rulers of his time, until he was assassinated by the ruling Abbasid authority after a fierce fight in the depths of Prisons.
