A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital has successfully performed surgery on a patient suffering from a perforation of the tympanic membrane.
The specialist of ear, nose and throat surgery at the hospital, Dr. Hisham al-Mousawi, that " a successful operation was performed for a 28-year-old patient, who checked us complaining of fluid coming out of the ear continuously, as a result of a hole in the tympanic membrane," indicating that "her condition did not respond to treatment but worsened, so our decision went towards surgical intervention to end her suffering."
He added," the operation was performed without any health complications for the patient, during which the fleshy bump was completely cleaned, with the middle ear cleaned and the tympanic membrane patched, and now she is healthy, "noting the importance of the role of the available capabilities in the hospital for the success of such delicate operations."
