The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has revived the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon him) in the Central African country of Chad.
The director of the Center for African Studies of the Department, Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that "the center commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon him) on the African continent, through the establishment of a condolence Council in a number of countries, including the state of Chad, in order to demonstrate the virtue of the Imam (peace be upon him) and his role in the Islamic nation and his place in the authentic Mohammadian religion.
He added that"the council was attended by the coordinator of the center in Chad, Sheikh Abdullah Ali, and was attended by a gathering of followers and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and in his lecture he touched upon the great role of Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon him) in leading the nation and preparing the occultation project".
The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, through the Center for African Studies and its representatives in more than 20 countries, is working to raise awareness of the principles of the authentic Islamic Mohammadian religion, its features and identity, and to implement a range of educational, intellectual and humanitarian programs.
