A medical team at Al-Kafeel hospital succeeds in an emergency operation to remove a tumor in the pancreas

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital successfully performed an emergency operation on a patient in the sixth decade of life suffering from a tumor in the head of the pancreas.

A specialist in Gastrointestinal Surgery at the hospital, Dr. Saad al-Allaq, said that"the patient visited the hospital and suffered from the presence of a tumor in the head of the pancreas that spread to the duodenum and bile duct, which caused him serious health complications and prevented him from eating for three months, limited to liquids only".

"After the necessary tests, we performed an emergency operation that lasted for four hours, during which we were able to connect the stomach and bile duct to the intestines, with the removal of the tumor from the pancreas and duodenum," he added, attributing the success of this complex operation "to the availability of high expertise and advanced technologies of the hospital".
