Raising the flags of the domes of the holy shrines of Iraq in the Indian city of Mumbai

The Indian city of Mumbai witnessed the raising of flags of the domes of the holy shrines in Iraq, within the seventh cultural festival of the Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

The festival is held at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine under the slogan (The Commander of the faithful - peace be upon him – Haroon Imamate and witness on the day of resurrection); on the birth anniversary of Imam Ali(peace be upon him), at the Mokal mosque in Mumbai and lasts for three days; with the aim of spreading the culture of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their knowledge.

The official of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Kadhimiya holy shrine, Sheikh Uday al-Kadhimi, said that "the flags of the holy shrines of Iraq were raised in the Indian city of Mumbai, and this event has a symbolism that expresses the flags of loyalty and love to the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt(peace be upon them) in this city, and the fact of this annual initiative has a clear and strong impact on the hearts of followers and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt(peace be upon them), but all Muslims".

The raising of the flags of the domes of the holy shrines in Iraq was carried out by the head of the delegation of each shrine, amid the presence of the followers of Ahl Al-Bayt(peace be upon them) and their lovers in Mumbai, followed by the opening of the book exhibition, which includes five pavilions, each shrine has a specialized Pavilion".

The festival's activities witnessed the honoring of people whose names were marked with one of the names, attributes or titles of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), by the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine, which is one of the additions to this edition of the festival.
