Al-Kafeel Museum discusses with the General Authority for antiquities and heritage ways of joint cooperation

The head of the Department of the Al-Kafeel Museum of antiquities and manuscripts at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine discussed with the head of the General Commission for antiquities and heritage ways of joint cooperation between the two sides.

This came during the visit of the head of the museum Department; Sayed Sadiq Lazim, accompanied by a delegation from the department, to the General Authority for antiquities and heritage in Baghdad, to congratulate Sayed Ali Obaid Shalgham on his assumption of the post of chairman of the authority.

"The visit came to offer congratulations on the appointment of Mr. Ali Obaid Shalgham as the chairman of the Iraqi antiquities and heritage authority, as well as discuss the steps of cooperation between the Al-Kafeel Museum and the authority, exchange experiences between the Al-Kafeel Museum and the Iraqi Museum, and discuss the development of tourism in the holy city of Karbala through interest in archaeological sites there,"said Lazim.

"During the meeting, we discussed the topic of the Cultural Museum and its establishment in the city of Karbala, because of its great history, and touched upon how to provide service to visitors to archaeological sites and tourist places such as Al-Akhidar fortress and churches to attract tourists and preserve this important heritage,"he added.

At the end of the visit, the chairman of the commission praised the efforts of the head of the Department of the Al-Kafeel Museum and its staff to preserve the national heritage in all its varieties.
