The professors and students of the Higher Institute of heritage, affiliated to the higher authority for the revival of heritage, praised the efforts of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for the preservation of heritage and Islamic investigation.
The visit of the delegation, headed by the director of the Higher Institute; Sayed Abdul Hakim al-Safi, came to see the work of the Center for manuscript photography and cataloguing of manuscripts affiliated to the Library and House of Manuscripts in the department, and its results, and to enhance the prospects for joint cooperation, and to identify the practical application of scientific lectures in the cataloguing of manuscripts provided by the center at the Institute.
The director of the center, Mr. Salah Mahdi Abdul Wahab, provided an introductory overview of the work of the departments at the center, and conducted a field tour for the visiting delegation to get acquainted with the mechanism of work in these departments, the work done there and future projects.
The delegation of the Higher Institute praised the great efforts exerted by the center in preserving and documenting the Islamic heritage, and keeping pace with the development of technology; to employ it in reviving manuscripts and documents.
