The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine organizes the ceremonies of raising the banner of Imam al-Kadhem (peace be upon him)

The Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine organized the ceremony of raising the banner of Imam al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) in commemoration of his martyrdom anniversary, in the courtyard of the Qibla of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
The rituals were witnessed by a number of officials of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and a gathering of visiting believers.

The head of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the holy shrine; Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri, said that "the holy shrines, including the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine, used to raise the flag of sadness and mourning in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Musa Ibn Ja'far (peace be upon them), at the same time marking the arrival of the season of sorrow".

He added that"the event of raising the Blessed flag began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the establishment of a condolence Council among the crowds of visitors arriving to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him), to commemorate this sad occasion".

The rituals witnessed many mourning events, including a lecture, which showed the oppression of Imam al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) and his fight against unjust authority.
