The establishment of a mourning Council in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) in Benin

The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held a condolence Council in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) in the African Republic of Benin.

The director of the African Studies Center of the Department, Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that"the council, which was held in the Borgou governorate, north of the city of Parakou in the Republic of Benin, is part of the program to commemorate the occasions of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)".

He added that"condolence councils are continuing in various African countries, the aim of which is to convey the biography of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) to various African communities, to indicate the status of the imams of guidance (peace be upon them) and their biography and to indicate the lessons of this biography".

For his part, the preacher at the center, Sheikh Hassan Amid, with his lecture at the council, explained aspects of the scientific and religious life of Imam Musa Ibn Ja'far al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) and the injustices to which he was subjected.
