The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, in cooperation with the University of Mosul, launched the festival of the prophet of mercy (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), with its second edition coinciding with the anniversary of the Prophetic mission.

The festival is organized by the University Relations Division of the public relations department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, within the framework of the national Al-Kafeel youth project, in the presence of many academic figures, university students, tribal dignitaries and scholars.

The festival began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the reading of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, and then the playing of the national anthem in addition to the chant of the Holy Shrine (the Pride's Melody).
