Yazidi Social Council: the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine has a great role in providing support and attention to the Yazidi component

The chairman of the Yazidi Social Council, Mr. Omar Elias Ali, stressed that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine had a great role in providing support and attention to the Yazidi component.

This came during the opening events of the second prophet of mercy cultural festival, which is held by the public relations department at the holy shrine, represented by the University and School Relations Division, as part of the national Al-Kafeel Youth Project at the University of Mosul.

"The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine had a great role in providing support, attention and assistance to the Yazidi component, and to identify the problems he was subjected to and the crimes committed against him by ISIS criminal gangs,"Ali said.

He added that"the holy shrine played an important role in the operations of liberating the province of Mosul from those terrorist gangs through the Abbas squad(peace be upon him), and that role continued until after the liberation operations by providing assistance to the Sons of this component, through delegations that continue to visit us from time to time".

He continued that " our attendance of the festival of the prophet of mercy (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) represents gratitude for the beauty that the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine has done, and appreciation of these festivals that contribute to increasing the spirit of love, brotherhood and tolerance among the components of Mosul governorate."
