The public relations department at the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine confirmed that the second annual cultural festival of the prophet of mercy (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) was attended by all components and sects of the city of Mosul.
This came during the opening events of the second prophet of mercy cultural festival, which is held by the public relations department at the holy shrine, represented by the University and School Relations Division, as part of the national Al-Kafeel Youth Project at the University of Mosul.
The official of the Division, Mr. Maher Khalid, said that"the prophet of mercy (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) cultural festival, in its second edition, was held in cooperation with the presidency of the University of Mosul, and in commemoration of the prophetic mission".
"The festival represents the visions of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in communicating with academic institutions and universities, where all components and sects of the city of Mosul participated,"he added.
Khalid explained,"the festival included many activities and events, including the recitation of poems and religious Muwashahat for the University of Mosul choir, in addition to organizing a series of workshops and lectures in the wings of the university departments, including on first aid and e-education, as well as holding cultural competitions on the Prophet's biography and honoring the winners of the question competition."
Regarding the participation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine in the festival, the division official said that "the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine has an active participation in the book exhibition, which was held within the activities of the festival, and through its departments represented by Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, Islamic and Humanitarian Knowledge Affairs, and the Al-Kafeel Museum of Treasures and Manuscripts."
