The head of the federal integrity commission, judge Haydar Hanoun, confirmed that the commission is working with the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) to install new rules to combat corruption.
This came during his visit to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and his meeting with its secretary general; Sayed Mustafa Mortada Aal Dia-Uddin, and a number of its officials.
"We are walking on the path of justice and working to achieve what people want, in building real rules in life under the umbrella of justice, integrity and anti-corruption,"Hanoun said.
"We are working with the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) to install new rules to combat corruption, as well as the preventive, awareness-raising and educational aspect, and to build a real belief among the citizen, as well as the official that corruption is related to his faith and religion before his patriotism,"he added.
The head of the integrity commission stated that "building integrity bases, awareness and supporting the culture of integrity is an integral part of the anti-corruption process and is the basis, so we start with the citizen and work with him, and we work with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to support the educational and awareness aspect, and holding workshops, seminars and conferences so that we can confront the culture that has come to us, which is the culture of corruption, and we will resist it with a culture of integrity".
