The events were launched in the presence of a member of the board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the chairman of the Education Authority, Dr. Abbas al-Deda al-Mousawi.
The director of the Al-Ameed educational group for boys, Dr. Haider al-A'raji, said that "the Iraqi educational curriculum week seeks to empower educational departments, leaders and educational staff, each according to its specialization of the curriculum with its courses, books and details".
He added that "specialists will review the educational competencies that a teacher should have in order to be able to communicate the information to the learner as it should, to graduate a conscious learner with critical thinking skills and higher thinking skills".
"Over the course of seven days, there will be a review of all school materials, and each specialist in a particular field will indicate the objectives of the curriculum, the ways, capabilities and competencies that a teacher should have, and the keys to be used to communicate its content to learners,"he added.
He explained that "the curriculum is an educational means used to deliver information to the learner, and there must be an effective and successful way to reach the desired".
For her part, the director of the Al-Ameed educational group for Girls; Mrs Mona Wael, said that "the first day of the week was devoted to Islamic education and enrichment materials," adding that there is a scientific curiosity among teachers to discover things that were not in their minds or their future perceptions, and they began to make plans for the details presented in the lecture, and the points to be taken into account in the development of the educational future."
She explained that " the Iraqi educational curriculum is integrated, but there was a need for a way to employ this curriculum in the Al-Ameed educational group, by preparing an integrated learner, and equipping the appropriate educational means," stressing the group's endeavor to reach its learner to integration upon graduation, by obtaining all the competencies of the curriculum followed, in terms of research and investigation, linguistic and numerical competencies and others.
