Al-Kafeel University held a scientific workshop on "necessities in medical education" on the sidelines of its fifth scientific conference for medical specialties, engineering and pure sciences.
The university is holding its fifth conference for the period (17_18) of the current month, in cooperation with Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital and the Al-Ameed and the American Toledo universities.
The head of the education authority at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Dr. Abbas al-Deda al-Mousawi, said that "on the sidelines of the scientific conference of Al-Kafeel University, and in conjunction with the diversity in the curriculum and teaching methods in the field of medical education, a scientific workshop was held today with the aim of bringing the student to the stage of improving that education".
He added that" the workshop seeks to reach an integrated harmony between the theoretical lesson, and what the student is intended to have when practicing the application of information in the practical field; in order to improve the quality of medical education, "pointing to"seeking to transfer educational curricula to international levels".
For his part, the president of Al-Kafeel University, Dr. Nawras Shahid al-Dahan, stressed that"the teaching staff at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University, in addition to a group of students, will train in the final stages of the workshop on the basic necessities in medical education and the importance of transferring applied knowledge."
He pointed out that"the workshop includes training on theoretical knowledge to graduate a qualitative generation that believes in cognitive and human values to serve the country and the public good".
In the same context, the dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Kafeel University, Dr. Samer Makki al-Hakak, pointed out that "the workshop is being held with the network of Iraqi doctors from the British Royal College in London, to prepare the teaching staff of the Faculty of Medicine and prepare it well, to raise the level of medical education in it".
