The Departments of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, a diligent work and continuous effort in the service during the Zyarat Arba'een..

The Secretariat- General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine did not spare no effort for the success of this Zyarat in all service, security and organizational levels, believing in the need of an organized work to serve the huge numbers of the visitors coming to the holy city of Karbala not only from inside Iraq but from all over the world. The observers described this Zyarat, as the largest in the modern history of Iraq in terms of the number of visitors who flocked to the holy city of Karbala from all over the world, since the world has never seen an international peaceful demonstration with this great number of participants, as the latest official statistics speak about more than 20 millions visitors, in a city that can not receive even the one-third of this number without the divine care and mercy that expand the land of Karbala and make it embrace all of them.

The number of visitors who came to Karbala constitute for the international observers a strange phenomenon, the preparations were also the subject of their admiration and dazzle, as it included providing all the requirements needed by the honourable visitors from food, drinks, cleanliness, accommodation and respect.

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has an important role in the success of this sacred ritual in all its organizational, security and services levels, over all the days of the Zyarat, the staff of the holy shrine made all their efforts for the convenience of the honourable visitors who were blessed by the generosity of the Al-Kafeel; Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), as all the departments of the holy shrine provided a bouquet of services during the days of the Zyarat as follow:

1- 60 thousands blankets were distributed daily and on a regular basis.
2- 36 tents with a capacity to accommodate 80 people each, were erected to be operational daily and on a regular basis.
3- 15 thousands square meters of carpets were used to cover the resting areas of the visitors.
4- 27 thousands square meters of plastic foil were used to cover the unfinished buildings.
5- 10.301 rugs in various sizes were used to cover the resting areas of the visitors.
6- 704.000 bags were given to the visitors.
7- 2.240.000 Litre of RO water were distributed to the services' processions during the days of the Zyarat.
8- Five schools were furnished to accommodate each 8000 visitors daily and on a regular basis.
9- A Hussaynyah along with a building's structure were used to accommodate 4000 visitors daily and on a regular basis.
10- Three millions plastic mug were used.
11- 150 vehicles were used to transport the elderly and children.
12- 325 waste containers were put in the streets surrounding the holy shrine.
13- Seven tons of waste bags were used.
14- 25 thousand medical case were treated with medications in the medical detachment of the holy shrine.
15- 13.742 condolences and services' processions and Hussayni bodies were registered, noting that more could not be registered.
16- 229 machines with various purposes and tasks were used in the service of the visitors.
17- 35 thousand meals were distributed within the three daily meal in the hosting house of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
18- 25 thousands meals were distributed within the three daily meal in the outer hosting house of the holy shrine.
19- 16 thousands meals were distributed within the three daily meal in the complex of Um Al-Baneen (peace be upon her).
20- 14 thousands meals were distributed within the three daily meal in the complex of Al-'alqami.
21- 11 thousands meals were distributed within the three daily meal in the complex of Sheikh Al-Kulayni.
22- 40 thousands brochure about the sacred Zyarat were printed.
23- 2000 pictures were shot by the photography division at the department of the Intellectual and cultural affairs during the Zyarat's days.
24- 98 article and news report were published on the Al-Kafeel Global Network.
25- Facilitating the work to more than 122 media channels for covering the rituals during this Zyarat.
26- Sending a media team to keep up with the movement of visitors from the far south of Iraq to the holy city of Karbala.
27- 60 thousands lost people were sent back to their families.
28- 13.800 emergency cases have been taken in charge by the rescue teams.
29- 30 centres for guiding and helping the missing and lost people were opened.
30- One million of identification cards were distributed for the visitors.
31- Declaring the work under the high alert for all employees of the holy shrine to serve the visitors and no holidays or break were allowed.
