The commemoration of the martyrdom's anniversary of Imam Ali Ibnu Musa Ar-Reda (peace be upon them) in the holy city of Karbala..

With poems expressing pain and sorrow, the procession of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) was launched to commemorate the martyrdom's anniversary of Imam Ali Ibnu Musa Ar-Reda (peace be upon both of them) -according to one narration-, from inside the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) towards to the holy shrine of the master of martyrs Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) passing through the courtyard between the two holy shrines, the a condolences' Majlis about this painful occasion was held within the Imam Al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine.

A number of the visitors present in the holy city of Karbala who, came to commemorate this painful occasion at the tomb of Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them), have also participated in this procession.

He is Ali, son of Musa son of Ja'far son of Mohammed son of Ali son of Al-Hussayn son of Ali Ibnu Abi Taleb (peace be upon them all), he was at his time the master of the House of the Holy Prophet (prayers and Allah's peace be upon him and his holy Household) as he is his grandson from his daughter Lady Fatima Az-Zahra (peace be upon her), the Imam of Muslims, and the successor of God on His creation, His evident argument, the master of humans and the "Satisfied" of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

He is the son of Imam Musa Al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) upon whom his murderer Harun Al-Abbassi said to his son Al-Ma'mun: "This is the Imam of people, and the argument of God on His creation, and His successor on his slaves; Musa son of Ja'far the true Imam. By God, O my son! He is the most deserving of the position of the messenger of Allah (prayers and Allah's peace be upon him and his holy Household) from me and from the whole creation. By God, if you contest me this matter, I would take the one that embraces your eyes - cutting his head -! As the sovereignty is sterile.”

Imam Ar-Reda (peace be upon him) died as martyr, as he was killed by poison by Al-Ma'mun (May God curse him), according to the narrations stated by Shaykh As-Saduq in Al-'Uyun and by Al-Mufeed in Al-Irshad.

Abu Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) was only 49 years old when he passed away, as his birth was in the year 153 AH and his martyrdom in the year 202 AH, and he (peace be upon him) lived with his father Imam Musa Al-Kadhem (peace be upon him more than 29 years, as the martyrdom of Imam Al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) was in the year 183 AH. As result the period of Imamat of Imam Ar-Reda (peace be upon him) was almost 20 years or 25 years according to other narrations.

He (peace be upon him) has many titles such as: Ar-Reda (the satisfied), the patient, the complacent, the loyal, the [burning] lamp of God, the apple of the believers' eye, the deserving of the sovereignty, the sufficient for the creation, the virtuous, the truthful and the one who enrage the atheists.
