The media department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine won the (Citation) award at the Babylon Animation Film Festival for its fourth edition by participating in a feature film.
Ahmed Taleb Mamitha, director of the Al-Joud animation center of the Department, said that "the center participated in the activities of the fourth edition of the Babylon Animation Film Festival specialized in animation, through a film entitled"The Spider's nest" by director Zaid Abdul Jalil, which received the award (recognition) at the festival.
"The film is about a young university student who is lured by a bad friend into the danger of drug use, and falls into the net of this danger and its consequences are disastrous for this young man,"he added.
"The aim of the film is to show the repercussions of drug use on physical and psychological health and social relationships, in addition to its impact on the individual and his behavior in society and his family. The film also shows the possibility of asking young people for help in case they are exposed to drug-related problems,"he added.
In its fourth edition, the festival witnessed the acceptance of 39 films for the competition from 12 countries, and the center's participation is the second in the festival.
