University of Baghdad: the Sibt al-Montadhar Festival is a reminder of the approach of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)

The director of the Office of the president of the Baghdad University; Dr. Ali Abdul Hassan Qasim, confirmed that the Sibt al-Montadhar festival is only a reminder of the approach of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and Islamic regulations.

The third edition of the festival is organized by the University and School Relations Division of the Department of Public Relations at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in cooperation with the presidency of the Baghdad University on the birth anniversary of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance).

The director of the university president's office said that "these festivals are a reminder of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) approach and Islamic regulations, and contribute to strengthening our culture and religion, and deliver important messages at this time when there are many issues that need intellectual treatments more than the measures taken by universities and educational institutions".

He added,"We are stressing the hands of the holy shrines in organizing such festivals, because they give confidence to students that the path they are taking is the right path, and that what the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) have come up with are messages for all humanity, and we are trying to provide what we can in order to facilitate the access of our students to these festivals".
