Scientific Complex: the Al-Ameed International Competition for the recitation of the Holy Quran, the first of its kind at the level of Iraq

The scientific complex of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine confirmed that the Al-Ameed International Quran recitation competition is the first of its kind in Iraq.

The head of the complex, Dr. Mushtaq Al-Ali, said that"the competition was launched coinciding with the advent of the holy month of Ramadhan, and the first edition was launched with two levels, for adults and boys".

He added that" the Al-Ameed International Quran recitation competition is the first of its kind at the level of Iraq; being an international, open competition, and contestants from (21) Arab and foreign countries participated in it, "pointing out that"the organizing committee of the competition received hundreds of entries from different countries, and a committee from the scientific community was formed to nominate them."

The competition comes as one of the contributions of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to spread the Quranic culture, as the correct method for the goodness of the individual and society, according to the head of the complex.
