A Filipino contestant won the sixth episode of the Al-Ameed Award International Quran Recitation Competition

The competition of the sixth episode of the Al-Ameed Award International Competition for the recitation of the Holy Quran witnessed the victory of the contestant Mohammad Nadheer Asghar from the Republic of the Philippines.

The competition is held by the scientific complex of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, with the participation of readers from (21) Arab and foreign countries, coinciding with the advent of the holy month of Ramadhan.

Asghar said, "the Al-Ameed prize international competition for the recitation of the Holy Quran is one of the strong competitions, in terms of the participants and the jury, who are famous readers in the world, and have great experience in this field".

He added that"the organizing committee of this competition was very excellent in its treatment of the contestants, and I saw that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is the true servant of the Holy Quran".

The events of the sixth episode witnessed an Iraqi-style Quranic recitation by the reader of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them); Sayed Mustafa al-Ghalebi, and the performance of the contestants (Ahmed al-Badri from Iraq, the first winner of the sixth episode; Mohammad Nadheer Asghar from the Philippines, the child Mohammad Saleh Qadimi from Iran, and Abdul Fattah Jhaider from Libya).

The competition comes as one of the contributions of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to spread the Quranic culture, as the correct method for the goodness of the individual and society.
