A medical team at Al-Kafeel Hospital successfully treats multiple complex fractures in an elderly woman

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital managed to treat an elderly lady who had multiple and complex fractures.

Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist Dr. Haitham al-Asadi said that" a septuagenarian patient checked into the hospital, she had multiple fractures of the ribs and the beginning of the right humerus after a road accident, "indicating that"the patient was prepared for surgical intervention accurately due to the specificity of her old age, and the chronic diseases she suffers from."

Al-Asadi added that the operation was performed with high precision, during which we were able to stabilize the right humerus bone using plates and locked screws, which facilitates the patient's movement directly after the operation, as well as it helps the bone heal faster, pointing to the use of regional anesthesia for the patient; in order to preserve her life from the health complications that are expected to occur for these ages.
