For the first time, both holy shrines host an exhibition of academic and scientific books within the events of the ninth International Cultural Festival of the Message's Spring..

Among the new events of the international cultural festival of the message's spring that the Supreme Committee supervising it develops each edition, the overseeing committee has established an exhibition of the academic scientific book, entitles (The first international Imam Al-Hussayn's (p) exhibition of the scientific and academic book) under the slogan: "The science develops day after day, hour after hour," and the with participation of a number of publishing houses and scientific and academic institutions from within and outside Iraq.

Mr. Ali Kadhem Sultan, a member of the Preparatory Committee and the official of the information department at the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), has stated: "the exhibition is held at the courtyard of Saint Zaynab (peace be upon her) and will last for five days, and in addition to both holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) a number of Iraqi universities have contributed in it, naming: Baghdad University, Al-Nahrayn University, Al-Mustansiriya University, Waset University - honorary guest -, Kufa University, Babylon University, Al-Qadisyah University, Diyala University, Basra University, Dhi Qar University, Maysan University, Kirkuk University, Erbil University, Al-Sulaymaniyah University, Dehook University, Al-Muthanna University and the Wusta University of technology. In addition to the international publishing houses: Taylor, Francis Elsevier, Oxford, Wiley, Wolters Kluwer, McGraw-Hellas, Cengage Learning (EMWA) and the representative of the Oxford University has chosen seven publishing houses by different titles divided in multiple specialities, such as encyclopedias of medicine, architecture, physics, chemistry, etc. There was also the contribution of the International Institution of Energy and the environment department at the holy city of Najaf. It is announced within the exhibition a discount of 40% for the teachers and the students with the presence of the representative of the concerned university."

As for Mr. Hussayn Al-Salami, the member of the preparatory Committee of the festival of the message's spring, and the official of the Division of the exhibitions and festivals at the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) has added: "This is the first specialized academic exhibition hosted by the holy city of Karbala, the Committee supervising the exhibition has developed a plan for the axes of the participating pavilions, as it divided the exhibition into three pavilions, the first is for the magazines and newsletters, the second for the scientific and academic books, and the third is for what it has been written about the Shiites in English language, in addition to a special pavilion for each of the participating universities to publish the professors and students' publications from thesis, research and treatises."

It is worth mentioning that the ninth edition of the International cultural festival of the message's spring is held on the fifteenth to the seventeenth of Rabi' Al-Awwal under the slogan: "The Holy Prophet : The completion of the word and the coalition of the division," and this on the occasion of the birthday of the Master of all creations Muhammed (prayers and Allah's peace be upon him and his holy Household) and his grandson Imam Ja'far As-Sadeq (peace be upon him).
