The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine presents its condolences to the martyrs' families of the fighting squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and they stated that their sons honoured them with their martyrdom..

A delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the fighting squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has paid a visit to the province of Wasit to present the condolences to the families of this squad's martyrs, who were killed during the liberation's battles of the cities of Balad and Dujayl in defence of Iraq and its holy land and sites, and who have answered the call of the religious authority inspired by the lessons of the sacrifice, redemption and the support of the true religion, the master of the free and the martyrs Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him). They left now, after performing the promise and to give to the future generations a great lesson in the redemption, tender and the loyalty to their principles and values.

The delegation was headed by Sayed. Adnan Al-Moosawi from the department of Religious Affairs at the holy shrine, Mr. Maytham Al-Zaydi the supervisor of the fighting squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and a delegation representing the Imam Al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine headed by Haj. Fadel 'Awaz. The delegation also included some of the Brigades leaders and commanders, as well as a number of the holy shrine officials. During its visit, the delegation assisted to the Fatiha Majliss held by the families and relatives of the martyrs in memory of their pure souls that they have sacrificed in the face of this barbaric onslaught of the grandchildren of Yazeed. The delegation transferred the condolences of the Secretary-General of the holy shrine and its affiliates, in particular, and the condolences of the people of the holy city of Karbala in general, praying the Almighty God to dwell the martyrs in His eternal paradises, and inspire their families patience and fortitude. The delegation has also praised the heroism, courage, motivation and sacrifices of the martyrs facing the terrorist groups, enemies of the religion and the humanity.

The martyrs' families have greeted the delegation warmly, full of pride and glory saying: "God bestowed upon us the honour of the martyrdom." The father of one of the martyrs has said: "My son has become with his martyrdom the highest honour of our tribe." His son with pride has stated: "My father made me proud among my peers, as he is going to heaven, and I will follow my father's steps in the defence of Iraq's land." While the Sheikh of the tribe has said: "This is the first time that our tribe gets such pride, as there is no higher honour than the martyrdom's honour."

It is noteworthy that the fighting squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has been involved in the battles of Balad and Dujayl, and has been assigned to combat duties during which it proved its field merit and ability, which it has gained through military exercises as well as its determination and faith derived from the commander of the army of Imam Al-Hussayn, Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them both), and has offered during this battle a group of martyrs.
