The Al-Abbas's (P)holy shrine organizes its annual condolence Council in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him)

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine organized its annual condolence Council in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

The council comes as part of the condolence activity of the holy shrine to commemorate the occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and began by reading verses from the Holy Quran.

The preacher Sheikh Mohammed Jum'a, said that "the eve of the nineteenth of the blessed month of Ramadhan is an exceptional night, as the first night of fate [al-Qadr], which is the anniversary of the martyrdom and wound of the Commander of the Faithful; Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and this night is very great because of its status with Allah Almighty".

He added that "the religious lecture included the explanation of the exceptional virtues of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) on Dua al-Nudba, (and He gave him in marriage his daughter the doyenne of the women of the worlds. He allowed him (alone) to do whatever he himself is allowed to do in his Mosque. He closed all the doors (to the Mosque) except his (i.e. `Ali) door. He then entrusted with him his knowledge and his wisdom,..), and these are his divine qualities that form the base of the prophetic House".

The council, which is held in the courtyard of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), witnessed the presence of a gathering of believers, and it lasts for three days amid a sad atmosphere, because of the impact of this occasion on the souls of believers.

The council concluded with the reading of Lamentations and poems by the Husseini Radood Mullah Ali Basha.

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has prepared a special condolence program to commemorate this sad occasion, which included many condolence and organizational activities to commemorate this sad anniversary.
