The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).
The official of the activities and camps division of the Al-Kafeel Scouts Association of the department, Dr. Zaman al-Kenani, said that "the Association organized as part of the Anwar al-Huda Quranic program, a group of events, including commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him)".
He added, "The Society hosted more than 200 scouts in the mourning Council organized in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), in addition to a group of Scout leaders, pointing out that"the council included a religious lecture given by the head of the Department of Religious Affairs at the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) shrine; Sheikh Ahmed al-Safi, followed by a condolence activity co-presented by a number of Radood reciting poems and lamentations about this painful tragedy, to conclude the council by holding a collective prayer and a collective Iftaar for those present."
For his part, the head of the Religious Affairs Department at the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Shrine; Sheikh Ahmed al-Safi, said that "the lecture dealt with talking about the personality of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) and his status with Almighty Allah and the Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), in addition to talking about his martyrdom, as well as touching on his role (peace be upon him) in Islam and society".
