The schools' group of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) introduce the (UCMAS) program in its new school curriculum..

For the development of the intellectual capacities of its students and within the development plan adopted by the schools' group of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) affiliate to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which aims to introduce technologies in the education's field, to adopt of all methods of scientific and cognitive excellence and to hire all tools in the educational field. Therefore, it has adopted the distinctive mental development program (UC-MAS), which is a unique and scientifically-proven mental development programme designed for children to develop their latent mental power at a very early age when brain development is reaching its peak. This learning process not only stimulates the brain, but also trains their ability to independently perform mental calculation in their head.

The Al-Kafeel Network met the Assistant of the Department of education and higher education at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Dr. Mushtaq Abbas Ma'an who explained the following: "After the popularity and success of the schools' group of Al-'Ameed last year, and in order to continue the progress, a plan has been programmed to keep pace with the development and modernization in the educational field, working to adopt the latest teaching tools and techniques to build an advanced generation educationally and scientifically. The introduction of UCMAS program comes within this plan."

Adding: " The UCMAS program has been recognised worldwide for its proven results – with the most obvious being the learners’ fantastic mental arithmetic ability and speedy calculation after undergoing the mental arithmetic programme. Mental arithmetic compromises arithmetic calculation regardless of the complexity, using only the brain. This program strives also to develop other mental abilities as well like concentration, observation, listening, imagination & visualization, as well as memory."

Dr. Ma'an also said: "The educational Group of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) is the leader in Iraq as it is using this program for the first time, which is witnessing a strong demand in more than 54 countries around the world, as it has proved its success and efficiency as it helps the children to develop their mental skills and abilities. In the early stage through the practical teaching and proof from researchers, mental arithmetic has mobilised the learning initiative of children in mathematical concept, and gave free reign to develop their right brain. This allowed the children to react faster, think nimbler and smartly, understand deeper and obtain a stronger remembrance on the lessons taught in school. Recognizing the causality of objects is the substantial feature of human thought. This tool is simply known as the Abacus. A manual counting bead frame with straight wires and a vertical frame."

Noteworthy that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine conducted last year the establishment of model schools under the name of Al-'Ameed to reflect the extent of the attention given by the management of the holy shrine to the educational and teaching field in Iraq, by giving great interest to the planning, therefore, a comprehensive and integrated study was conducted in order to promote and improve the scientific and educational field in the holy city of Karbala. The first step in this plan was the establishment of model schools, kindergartens and nurseries under the name of Al-'Ameed, inspired by one of the titles of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), constituting the educational Group of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
